Using Picture Scans as fabric fill.

I played around with a picture of my son Stian - the picture is a few years old - he is a student in Syndey today. I used the same picture on purpose in order to be able to show the changes of the "fabric fill"  - I scanned the picture as I would with a scanned fabric, saving as a bmp file, 256 colors. The largest picture in the middle of the quilt is resized to 200 x 200 pixles, the same "fabric fill" is used for the center part of block # 9.

Block # 1 - this picture was resized to 50 x 50 pixles.

Block # 3 and 7 - this picture was resized to 100 x 100 pixles.

I imported the image to EQ as I would with a fabric, chosing Fabric Library - Import - Copy

The size of the block has no influence to the image, but coloring the individual block
with a fabric image and switching over to the quilt picture - don't be surprised if the
image might have changed. You really have to try various pixles sizes before you might
achieve the image you want.

Have fun!
